Historical Notes:
Fred Opert Racing (CHEVRON HERITAGE works team) entered for Keke Rosberg in 1977 Euro F2 championship. Chassis B40-77-06 with Hart 420R power was driven by:

- Keke at Thruxton, Hockenheim, Nurburgring (3rd.), Vallelunga, Pau and, Mugello.

- Then by Alex Ribeiro at Rouen.

- However for Nogaro and Enna Keke was back in the car and scored his famous aggregate victory in the latter - his first in F2.

- For the following round at Misano B40-77-06 was driven by Arturo Merzario and then at Estoril by Eje Elgh (whilst Keke was driving B40-77-08).

- The car was then reunited with Keke again for the final round at Donington where it finished 2nd.

At the end of the season it was sold by Opert to serious French hillclimber Yves Martin and then to another hillclimber Rodrigues, from whom it was aquired by Simon Hadfield: in a poor but very original state. The car was returned to the U.K in 2001 where it was restored by Simon, who after completeing the rebuild, raced it with great success, winning the Chevron 40th anniversary race at Oulton park in 2005.

The car features in the book 'Chevron: The Derek Bennett Story' being illustrated on page 208.

Ian Rimmer aquired the car from Simon Hadfield and Marcus Pye in 2006.
